Tagaytay Chronicles 1

Sorry haven't blogged in a week! I was waiting for the pictures from my boyfriend's camera cos I forgot to bring mine when we went to Tagaytay! How could anyone forget something so valuable? Boo, I suck. Anyway, I took the pictures so that makes me less sucky I guess.

To get to Tagaytay, ride a bus from Baclaran that says Mendez/Olivarez. Costs P87, air conditioned.

So first off, we checked in to Full Rest Apartelle in Mendez Crossing. Pretty neat place. One night only costs P900, no aircon. Room with aircon costs like P1300. It's a really good spot cos it's near a bunch of Banks, Pawnshops, some places to grab a bite, and Convenience Stores. You just gotta ride a jeep to go from one place to another.

Pretty nice balcony, don't you think? A great way to start the morning. I took a closeup of one of the plants hanging, came out nice, I guess.

So after getting some rest, we went to One Destination which boasts a very fine view of the Taal Lake and Volcano. In here, you get to find like 5-10 Restaurants, hence the name's place. Taal Volcano is one of the lowest and deadliest volcanoes ever.

This is the mouth of the volcano with the lake surrounding it. A Boat Ride trip to the volcano costs P1300-1500 but we didn't try that, way beyond our budget. When you get there, ride a horse up or trek up to the mouth, expect hot water in the main crater.

Boats to get to Taal Volcano. Or maybe they're fishing?

Boo people, can't I get a good shot? In the background is the ledge to the great view.

They sell Bonsai too but I don't know how much.

It was hard not to love this amazing experience to view the Taal Lake and Volcano. This is my second time but it seems like it's the first. It's just so beautiful and breathtaking, I can't wait to go back. The air is cool too and the people are casually dressed, one wouldn't feel out of place. When you get to visit the Philippines, be sure to stop by Tagaytay Cavite!

We got hungry so we decided to look for a place to eat. Wait for it on my next post! Thanks for taking this little trip with me!

Much Love,
HalfCrazy

Thanks for letting me ride along! This is lovely and your photos really help convey its beauty and magnificence. After the Iceland volcano this photo was even more meaningful. I hope someday I can return to the Philippines!

That looks so beautiful. I'd love to visit someday :)

@Tabor - Wow, you've been in here? That's amazing to know, please come back! You've probably been to Manila but stop by Tagaytay for less pollution, haha! Thanks for the compliments, hope to see you in my next post!

@Rachel - You totally should!

It has been ages since I visited Tagaytay, in the 70's probably you were not born yet, hahaha!

The views of the volcano and crater is breath taking. Maybe someday at retirement, I am going to tour from North to South.

HalfCrazy said...

@Dorothy - Right on! And if you get to be in that place, it seems like it's only a beautiful drape or something - nothing is moving!

@Mumsified - Onga, daming boats, mukhang onti lang customers. Medyo mahal kasi! Pero okay na rin kung 6 kayo tapos hati hati kayo sa pagbayad ng P1500.

@Ebie - Haha yeah, I'm a 90's baby! I wonder kung anong itsura ng Tagaytay noong 70's! It's interesting to know! I hope magkatotoo nga yang North to South trip mo! :) I want that too!

Hey girl! How are you doing? What a silly question that was. Looks like you are doing just fine.

Love those photos. What an amazing place. Breathtaking views. Like that little walkway, too.

Hope you found something tasty to eat.

masarap nga magTagaytay ngayon kasi SOBRANG INIT!!!

@Patty - That's right, doing just fine! But I'm having some problems with my hormones right now cos of my upcoming period. Okay, too much information already! Haha! Of course we found a great place to eat! Our trip's highlight is probably the food!

@Rej - Onga. Pero mainit rin dun sa tanghali. Pero hindi yung sobrang init tulad dito sa Metro. Sa gabi malamig sa Tagaytay!

I love the pictures. it would have been amazing to have been there. The mountains look divine!
Looking forward for more :D
Cheers!

@Raft3r - I know, right. My only complaint is their non-existent nightlife. I thought it's gonna be a city bustling with activity as people frequent it all year round.

@Me-shak - Yeah, it seems like someone stopped the time when you get to see the amazing view. The wind doesn't stop too! Hope to see you on the next installment!

This looks sooo gorgeous. My hubby went to the Philippines 2 years ago, but not to this place. I loved his pics of the islands and the students he got to know; maybe next time he can go here. And take me too. i could use a vacation on an island:)

HalfCrazy said...

@Loida - Haha yeah, got a boyfriend but that doesn't stop me from meeting new people. He gets jealous from time to time but I still make him feel he is number one. Cheesy, haha! More photos to come, try to come back to the country when the new President has been elected! Maybe there's gonna be some changes?

@Ahmer - Not gonna happen anymore? Oh that sucks, next time nalang siguro? Matagal na rin bago ako nakabalik, bata pa ako noon. Hindi ko matandaan kung may nagbago ba. Pero konti nalang yung tao tlga.

@Kerry - Wow, I wonder what island he visited! Most of the young people in the Philippines are very friendly and you can talk to them about almost anything you want to know about the country. The Philippines has over 7,107 islands, some disappear when it's high tide, though!

Great pictures of the vulcano.

HalfCrazy said...

@Random Student - Tageytey is really breathtaking at iba ang klima doon. Grabe kasi dito sa Manila, para tayong nasa Oven! Yung food ata pinaka highlight ng trip namin dun. Grabe busog. Gusto ko nalang tumira dun foreva. Haha!

@Sidney - I would if I could!

Wow, so many boats??? Maybe there's a boating contest? LOL
Despite that you forgot your camera, you have certainly made up with some of the best panoramic views of Tagaytay I have seen yet! I love them all. Thanks!
