Too young to feel this old.

I feel young and old at the same time.

Young because I get to do things like partying until dawn, going to places here and there, meeting loads of new people, and getting to try new things. While I'm still young, I gotta try everything within my reach, of course with knowledge of what's good and bad, and a good set of principles.

Old because at my age, it seems like I haven't done anything at all, like I haven't achieved anything. Time goes by and I'm not getting any younger. I'm studying Psychology in College, I get pretty good marks and my Professors say I'm good at this and that, even offered me good opportunities to participate in this and that.

But somehow, it's just not enough. I feel fine but I can't say I'm totally happy.

Or maybe it's just because of the hot weather and I got nothing to do.

What about you, do you feel old or do you feel young? Maybe both?

After much coaxing and a little bit of sulking, my Dad already allowed me to go to Tagaytay this Sunday! I'll be bringing back tales of adventures and lots of pictures, of course. See y'all in 3 days and 2 nights. In the meantime, keep my blog bustling with activity, ya hear?

***

P.S., I just got back from the trip. Photos in 30-40 hours! :) This post would have to suffice until then! Thanks for still commenting even though I'm away! Back to the daily grind in a while!

Much Love,
HalfCrazy

Crazy :D
Never look back at life when you are 30-40 and say, "Gosh I should have done that!". Do everything you want to do. Keep swinging, you'll eventually get there! Looking forward for posts about your trip!
Good post!
Cheers!

Hi Young lady, don't ever feel 'old'....you are young only once. And you not married....so have fun, enjoy your youth, your freedom, the love of your parents.

Because one day when you with 7 children, a nagging husband, a busybody mother in law giving you headaches, then you'll say, 'I wish I was young', ha ha.

As for me, my wife always say I have not grown up yet, and never will.
I feel young, I do young things, and never feel old....not yet, anyway, ha ha.

The day I feel old is when my wife or a nurse has to feed me, then its game over! Ha ha.

Of course at your age life can be a roller coaster, but take what comes.
Live today like there's no tomorrow....and when tomorrow comes, you will know you have had your yesterdays.
Have a beautiful Sunday, Ingat palagi, Lee.

Hey hun.. how's it going!!! :)

Haven't said hi in the longest so I thought I should. I'm so happy you're keeping us a bit updated now and again even though you're so busy with school and life in general.

I've been okay.. still sticking in there with my Making Money Online thing.. I've actually been doing great! I'm averaging about 600 a month now which isn't too shabby eh?

Anyway.. on topic of your post.. lately I feel old. I do. Because like you, there's a lot of things I want to get done and haven't done so yet... when it comes to school and other things as well. Also, I think it's because of the amount of crazy shit that's been going on in my life lately, I haven't been going out alot and hanging out like I use to.. and so it's making me feel old.. like there's no "fun" in life anymore..

But... I'm getting married in Vegas next month so hopefully that changes.. I'm sure THAT will be tons of fun lol. I'll be sure to take a pic or two as well..

Take care hunnie! And be safe!!

Hi HalfCrazy, it's never too old to do something (or not to do something), lol.

I absolutely agree with Lee, and regardless you are young or old you should do everything you want and don't constraint yourself.

Live life to the fullest and enjoy every single day.

Do have a wonderful trip to Tagaytay, ya!

I feel old for different reasons. I feel like there are so many things that I've yet to experience, things that other people have the opportunity to do so. But I guess we can't think like that, we just have to treasure what we have now and do what we want to do now, so we won't look back one day and regret.

People tell me I have an old soul in a young body. I can see why they say that though. I love ancient history, I have more older friends than younger friends.

What you're going through is normal..that feeling of unaccomplishment and fulfillment. I think most people feel that way. The important thing is to keep within reach of your dreams and goals and don' lose sight of them.

Be safe when you go to Tagaytay and always practice good diligence and common sense. Hope you will have a wonderful time there!

Some days I feel much older than I actually am but other days I feel like a kid again. :)

Sabi ko sa yo eh papayagan ka din! Happy trip at sana damihan ang pictures!

on your question, I would say yes, I am happy today..but sometimes I get lonely also. Natural lang naman na ganayan ang buhay.

Ingat lagi!

@Me-shak - Haha, I know, right, I totally don't want that to happen, that's actually one of the things I really wanna avoid. But by that time, I'd be fit for traveling because I'd be earning moneeeyyy! :)

@Uncle Lee - Thank you for the kind words, Uncle. Actually, at my age, I sometimes caught myself saying, "I miss being young and acting like I don't have a care in the world. I wish I was young, even for just a while." I don't see you as old, Uncle Lee. More like a wise man, ready to lend his advice to all the inexperienced young ones!

@Sidney - I feel like I've wasted only like 50 cans of paint. Thanks!

@Trini - GIRRRRLLL! It has been a while! 600 bucks a month? Of course that's not shabby, considering you started without shelling out money! Remember me when you're rich, alright! AND WOW, YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED? THAT'S AWESOME! YAY, CONGRATS! Okay, sorry for the caps, I gotta express how happy I am for you! The day before you get married in Vegas, make sure you have some fun! You be safe too and keep on making them cash!

@Yvonne - The things that are probably constraining me are money and my parents, haha! I'm only a student so I don't have much money on me, they come from my parents too. And parents, well, you know how they are, considering you're a parent yourself, haha! Thanks!

@Clement - Very well said, you took the words right out of my mouth! But yes, we gotta treasure everything we have now but we can't avoid to think about things that other people can do but we can't because of circumstances.

@RoseBelle - Wow, I love Ancient History too! Well, anything about History. I have yet to find old friends that are interested in it, unlike you! And thank you, I thought I'm only one of the few who feel that sense of unaccomplishment. It's just that most of the people around me don't talk about feeling that emptiness thing. I assume most of them don't really think about that, but I appreciate the few ones who actually do.

@Lisaschaos - That's a great feeling, I guess you gotta have the best of both worlds, that balance!

@Dennis - Actually nalimutan ko yung camera ko LOL stupid! Pero buti dala ni boyfriend yung sa kanya kaya yun nalang ginamit ko, di naman kasi yun mahilig mag picture picture ng iba't ibang bagay!

Okay, first off, tell your first commenter life doesn't really start until you're 30 or 40. Don't worry that you're missing out on too much. Just keep going the way you're going. I am almost 51 and I haven't stopped adventuring yet. No matter what your age is, life is what YOU make it.

When you are young is the best time to do all the things you really want to. That way you don't have any regrets.

HalfCrazy said...

@Quilly - I appreciate a totally different take from you, Ma'am! About you saying life is what I make it. You're right, whatever age I am, I should never stop going on adventures!

@Pam - Yeah, I agree! That's why I'm trying to do whatever I can right now!

i should say congrats halfcrazy.. your personality plus your degree major would give you a lot of exciting opportunities - here, there and everywhere; in various settings - clinical, educational and industrial.. eventually, they won't say no to one who studied the human behavior.. hehe... that's what i had majored too and never failed to impress the bosses .
