After about 5 minutes, realizing everyone is still asleep, she changed it to soulful golden oldies. Currently playing: How Do You Keep The Music Playing. Maaan I love these Golden Oldies, Pop Music would have to wait until the night.

As some of you might know, I'm going to Tagaytay this Sunday. Tagaytay is a popular tourist spot in the Philippines, often visited by people due to its cool climate. It's maddeningly hot here in Manila, I wanna pack my bags and just get out of here!
Only problem is, my Dad is having second thoughts about me going. It's such a bummer, I've waited 2 weeks for this trip and I asked permission like many moons ago. He already gave me money and then he goes, "I don't want you to go, your safety is at stake." Sure, I understand him being worried about me but I'm so looking forward to the trip, it's not like I'm going to another country. Tagaytay is only almost 2 hours away from Manila. It's just so stupid that he suddenly changes his mind!
However, I don't take no for an answer. The trip is still 4 days away, a lot could happen. Nothing's gonna stop me now! Yeah, I'm stubborn! I'm goin for the gold, bitch!
There's this place I wanna visit in Tagaytay, Bag Of Beans. I mean, just look at their food I got from their website:

Do you wanna miss out on these foods for the rest of your life?
I plan on posting loads of pictures from that Tagaytay trip! The food, the price, how to get there, everything! But then there's this old man that doesn't want me to have fun. I'm a big fan of trying something new while he just wants to play safe.

On Movie news, I watched Soul Men yesterday. Pretty great movie. Samuel L. Jackson's acting is never to be missed out on. Remember when he played Jules in Pulp Fiction? He's just amazing, the way he embodies his role, making everything so memorable. May Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes (who are both in this movie) rest in peace. P.S., if you love Soul, I suggest watching this movie. They got good music.

Hi, you just live your life the way you want it to be...to live life with no excuses, to love with no regrets...
but remember, your parents love you, and will always worry about you....
like when one day you have kids of your own, ha ha.....and a beautiful daughter that wants to go to that place to enjoy the food, 2 hours away, *wink*.
Have a nice day, Ingat and keep a song in your heart, Lee.
You are such a daring girl, I wish I would back at your age... to have more fun like you do, and please enjoy your trip!
I'm now in your parents' shoes, her school hold a field trip to zoo this morning. I love my girl very much and I was reluctant to let her join... but in the other hand I want her to learn to be independent and have fun, hehe! it took us about a month to contemplate before summit the entry... for parents, it's hard to let go (especially if their kids are too sweet and adorable)!
Please have a nice day! Btw, thanks for dropping by!
I just wanted to add what Uncle Lee already commented and that is when I was young, I used to get so annoyed and frustrated when my parents didn't let me do what I wanted to do. Now that I'm a mom, I think (surprise surprise) like my parents. When you have kids, they become the single most priority to you...no matter how old they are. Maybe you can go with someone else or accompanied by an adult?? But do feel blessed that you have loving and caring parents cos not all kids are blessed with parents with these qualities.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Cause when the vacay is over, you will hit the books!
Have fun and take lots of pix!
@Uncle Lee - It's funny because no matter how hard I try to make them believe that I'm gonna be alright and nothing bad will happen, they're still reluctant to let me go. It's totally funny, though. In the end I know they'll let me go, they're just having second thoughts or imagining some bad stuff might happen if I push through this trip. It's really only 2 hours away..
@Alice Law - I'm gonna enjoy my trip if I don't have to worry about my parents. I want both of them to approve so everything would be okay! Thanks for the really sweet words! You got me blushing! I'll probably understand when I get older and have kids.
@Rose Belle - I thought that, for parents, their kids stop being adorable after Childhood, haha! I feel super blessed that I have great parents but they can be 'wicked' sometimes, haha! I just wanna do a barrage of different things while I'm still young.
@Ebie - Yeah, only 2 weeks more and it's school time. I kinda miss school a bit! I will take lots of pictures, thanks, Ebie!
Hi there, thanks for visiting my blog :)
A parent will always and forever feel protective of his/her children, regardless their ages. I notice your dad loves you and constantly concerns on your safety - well, his little princess is no longer inside his perimeter.
Anyway, it's a good experience that you are having this tagaytay trip. Have a nice trip and i'm waiting to see the pics
Your dad loves you and is afraid of losing you. It is hard for parents to let go.
Samuel L. Jackson is an awesome actor and I'll pay to watch anything he's in.
how sweet is it to feel young again with this blog and how lovely you are as the author of this blog.. Tagaytap trip is sure a blast!
@Yvonne - I remember a quote saying, "We Dads just became spectators in our daughters' life." That's sweet and sad at the same time. Hope he allows me to go to the Tagaytay Trip!
@Quilly - Whenever I hear about parents slowy losing their children as time goes by, I remember Abba's song, "Slipping Through My Fingers", I suggest listening to that song. It's so sad! What you said about Sam, right on! He's totally entertaining!
@Nuts - Hi there! Wow, and I always thought I'm already old. I just feel old cos I don't have things to be proud of about yet. Thanks for the sweet words!
I love Tagaytay, been there once, and will make it again. Checking air fares now.
ang kulit ni mommy, haha. Imagining waking up with a Pussycat Doll's song pounding in your head.
At nakakatakam ang pix, sana mapuntahan ko din yan minsan ^__^
Did you make it to Tagaytay?
I remember being young and so wanting to be older. Now I'm older and it's just fine. I cannot tell you how old as you will be shocked!
The natural state of being 18 is wanting to be older and adventurous.
halfcrazy, uy dalaga ka na.. first time na ma meet kita dito sa blogs last year, baby ka pa a.. miss ya! i miss reggie and patty too..
@Sheng - Haha great! I can't wait.
@Charlene - My Dad already allowed me, it's awesome! Gonna be there by Sunday! I agree, being 18 is about being adventurous, but I really don't wanna get old yet! Haha!
@Loida - Haha, ang tagal nyo pong nawala eh! Tagal ko ring nawala, mga isang buwan lang yata, though! Miss you rin po, Tita. Haha! Miss ko na rin sila, biglang nawala rin si Reggie Girl eh.
jeez! i can gain weight again by looking at your foods!

@Faisal - I was born 1991 too and I gotta blame my parents, my uncles, aunts, and cousins for making me like good music. Of course I'm grateful!
@Mei Teng - You too.
@Docgelo - Pinayagan na ako ng tatay ko, it was great, yay! Of course, I'm gonna be visiting your blog again, I like your content, I skimmed through your other posts! Hope I get to have those chopsticks. I have the advantage because it's my birthday, right? Right? No because we gotta be fair? Okay... Haha!
@Raft3r - Sa Sunday pa. Excited na nga ako eh. Di na ako makakatulog ng maayos nyan!
@Dennis - Tama ka, Kuya! Pinayagan na ako! Ang saya nga eh! It's my first time to be out without guardians! I promise to be safe and responsible all the time! :) Thanks!
The food are so yummy! I'm salivating here so early in the morning. Singapore is similar to Manila , very modern infrastructures everywhere, at least you get to experience country roads in your own country, for us we have to cross over the causeway to Malaysia to experience the real country road! lol
Maybe country roads do exist in the very provincial parts of Singapore? Haha I'm sure every country has one!
I'm not looking for country roads anyway. I was born a city girl and always will be. I aspire for everything modern and convenient, even country roads. Haha!
So... how was Tagaytay ;-)
I am fond of golden oldies too. Good luck with your Dad and nice to meet you.
Kat
wow PSD blaring in the morning must've caused some minor headache LOL take care in tagaytay. i will try to grab a copy of that movie. hugs.
I can totally understand your sentiments but as a parent (to a toddler) I also understand your dad's concern. Hopefully you both agree on something both of you will be happy. Enjoy the weekend!
