Friday Town Shootout: Water, Glass, Shiny Objects and Reflections.

I'm excited to do this post cos it's my first time in a long time to do the Friday Town Shootout! This week's topic is what it says on my title; water, glass, shiny objects, and reflections.

Disclaimer: Do not expect much from me, I am not a season photographer/traveler like the others on this page. To see more of this week and to participate in the upcoming FSOs, click here. Imma be representing Metro Manila, Philippines.

I was at Harbor Square with a couple of friends on a Thursday night. There are a lot of bars in this place and is a favorite hangout during the weekends.

Bar in a yacht. Wonder how much the drinks/entrance fee costs there. No, we didn't try and we didn't ask. Well, maybe some other time!

Okay, the next batch of pictures are indoors and this is something you have seen before but hey, it's got glasses, water.. okay, chemicals. Pictures are taken during my Physiological Biochemistry Laboratory class.

Testing for the presence of sugars. You gotta love it being assorted.
Uhm yeah, those are my nails. Matches with the chemical!
Some more of the chemicals.

So that's it for this week. It's not much compared to the others but I hope you guys enjoyed. Join us now!

Much Love,

  3. you can't believe how good it is too see you back with the FSO - most of the oldies are gone, so if you've returned there is hope to see others as well.
I would have had to go to the bar on a boat place. does it cost to get on? not just to have a drink? wonder how it is decorated inside? see I would have to go on.

  5. Yes, I love the floating bar and I agree with witsandnuts -- do you always make sure your fashion coordinates with your experiments?

  6. I love the photo of the bar on the yacht. It looks like a cool place to hang out. Oh, and all the different colored chemicals in the glass tubes are very nice. Don't be so hard on yourself. I like your pictures and I'm sure everyone else will too. It's all a matter of perspective anyway, and we get to see through your eyes. Great job.

  7. Great pics. Thanks for sharing. You are on the cutting edge of fashion, nail polish to match your chemicals. I love it. With thinking like that you should be working on the cure for cancer. I bet even Dr. Frankenstein didn't co-ordinate his shoes with the bolts in the monster's neck. Thank you for the photo's.

  9. Hey Half Crazy, I'm glad to see you back too. No need to apologize for your pictures: that rainbow of colored chemicals is awesome, and gives us a glimpse of what you do during the day! I like it.

I was about to do my toenails green, but now that seems like copying!

I liked your photos. We are not all star photographers, I just like to show off where I live and hopefully improve my photography along the way!

  12. Now you show me the beauty of chemicals, um their colors :) I never liked chemistry during my school days. I hate those formulas because I couldn't remember them. I prefer Biology though.

  18. I love glass! These are great shots, I especially like all the chemical vials lined up and the way your nails match the liquid in the container.

  19. I did Chemistry when I was in college and what I really enjoyed the most was at the lab with our hands busy on test tubes and some chemicals. Your set right there is quite colorful. Funny how your nail polish had the same color!
