The awesome guy at The Butler and Bagman Chronicles was the one assigned for this Friday's shootout - Wildlife. I live in the City so forests are miles away from here LOL. Even a good patch of plants and trees are few but I managed to get a few ones for the shootout. Just a few animals for this Wildlife post; I'll make it up with more of plants, trees and shrubs of someone's backyard, hope you guys enjoy anyway. Most of the animals around here (cats and dogs) are tamed. Including them would not be wildlife at all lol! Click photos to enlarge. I recommend it!

It's kinda sad to not see birds anymore. There was a time I could still see Robins and lots of them; even Pigeons! I don't even see ants anymore LOL. Just lazy cats and a few dogs. I guess that's what you get when you live in the city.
Hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did putting this together. Will go over to your blogs later, I need to get some sleep!
Much Love,
Much Love,
What an interesting and fun way to present your town! It's always fun to see how other countries look through a camera lens!
ReplyDeletehi there! thanks so much for your lovely comment! you're right everybody's excited and afraid coz he's still very fragile!hehehe!
ReplyDeletenice photos here... good job! take care always! : )
Some great photos of wild fauna, there HalfCrazy! I loved the round park, it's so different from anything we have here!
ReplyDeletehehehe. when you said wildlife akala ko gubat eh. :) so this is a park where you live? taht's nice. at least they provided some open space for the community.
ReplyDeletefor your next post, try going to araceros park in manila. you'll be surprised there are still large trees there.
this is a good way to present the country to the others. amabassador ka na. hehe
@Bettyl - Thanks, I always love 'showcasing' my town even though it could get a little dirty!
ReplyDelete@Our love story - I don't even wanna hold babies unless they are 2 weeks old. I have horrible imaginations of accidentally dropping him!
@Barry - Thanks! Your parks are probably much more spacious! Ours look cramped LOL. Glad you like the Round Park too! It's one of the town's landmarks.
@Reena - Unga eh, san lang ba may gubat dito sa Pinas kundi sa mga probinsya? Rare na makakita kasi ng ganun sa Manila eh. Puro usok nalang LOL. San yung Araceros Park? Ngayon ko lang yung narinig, nakakahiya hahaha! I'll present our country in a positive and negative way (depending on the photos I take) there's nothing to be ashamed of! I'm proud of whatever lurks in here haha!
I love your snaps HalfCrazy......that's what I love about this Friday Shoot-Out....no rules and this is a brilliant interpretation you've done. Round Park photo is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who wants to participate can just do so. They can just leave a comment at Patty's, Mine, Butler&Bagman's, Barry's, or your's. I think that Gordon over at FRIDAY SHOOT-OUTS FROM FLORIDA is trying to post a list of all the participants each week. He graciously offered to do this and I'm certainly glad that he did.
He said that if we just tell him who the newbies are he'll keep the names posted. Isn't that sweet?
GingerV has already chosen next week's subject (see the bottom of my post today) and it's one that you'll do fabulous on as it's the city :)
Have a weekend filled with love, joy and laughter HalfCrazy and again, your photographs were lovely. Thank you for showcasing your beautiful town :)
Steady On
Reggie Girl
Your town is a jungle with some wild animals!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you presented the impossible Butler and Bagman challenge. What an assignment.
ReplyDeleteThat little hut is so cute. I love the statue. Who did it?
Looking at all the nice greenery makes me long for summer. It was a nice walk around your town. So happy you gave us all a chance to enjoy it with you.
I think those trees might me some kind of fir tree. They are pretty.
Well done!
@Reggie Girl - That's what I love about the Town Shootout too! That's too sweet of Sir Gordon, I'll look for him on your page! Whenever I read your comments, you make me feel good about myself for some reason, haha! Thanks for all the kind words!
ReplyDelete@Sidney - Uh, thanks.
@Patty - Thanks! :) It's like another shootout LOL. I guess mine's Plants, Trees, etc. Edition. I just hope B&B wouldn't get mad or something LOL. No idea who did everything in the Round Park. It's like one day, it's already there! I'm so glad you like all the greenery! There are only a few of them, just thought I'd snap photos.
More art from you. I liked the third one down and the birds the best.
ReplyDeleteWhat little open ground is there is being used for foliage. Good for the environment!!
Nice Job,
Wrench
It's nice to see all of that green has we most definitely don't have any here yet. We have that liquid stuff coming down from the skies, yet again, and it's nothing but wet, gray, and dreary outside. Where is Spring?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI thought the water buffalo (carabao) is real hehehe that would be a nice wild animal. Is the plant a wild orchid? or it's just screaming "wildlife?" hahaha
ReplyDeleteHey by the way I was having hard time getting any wild animals photos so I still tried to post one, wild birds hahaha, check it out.
Cool for you to feature your city!
ReplyDeleteand thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteHalfCrazy - THERE ARE NO RULES - we just want to hear from you and see photos of your city . no wild life is significant don't you thinks... maybe you need to go sit quiet in your park, sit on the ground, sit for a while - I bet there are insects in the garden....
ReplyDeletenext week
“My town – the four (4,5, or 6) blocks of Main street’
The main four corners, the traffic / cars / people / street vendors / store fronts / alleys /trash bins…. of the main part of main street that are your town – that street name could be Maple or Washington or of course Main.
That was fun, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation of wildlife in the city :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the green...
Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteI do have to admit it's hard to find wild life in a city. Specially if it's a metropolis.
In my city the wild life gets restricted to some parks here and there. And I don't even feel like taking pictures of those parks, they're so badly managed and some have such a dirty look you know?
For animals you also won't see much besides some stray cats, dogs and some birds that I don't know how they're called in English. I just call them flying rats but I don't really know how to call those in English, I need to research.
And if you don't see any ants I think you're lucky. There were so many ants in my house it was annoying. We couldn't leave food on the table or else it would be completely dark after a few hours because of the huge amount of ants trying to get a bite of it. After adding some poison here the number reduced a lot but there are still a few.
And I really liked the pictures, specially the first three. Great job!
So very pretty! I especially love the park picture! I could relax there for hours!
ReplyDeleteMy area wildlife comes out at night--very late. I hope to capture a pic sometime of a coyote (the last one walked right up on the back patio)...and we have giant owls, and ratcoons, deer and opossums.
Oh in the day you might see a cute little praire dog, a rabbit, lots of birds--mostly robins, cardinals, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, wrens, bluejays & others, including giant hawks (a predatory bird).
Like you, the animals I could photograph would mostly be caged birds, cats and dogs!
take care
I think I liked the oxen the best - very well done!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a wildlife for a city scene. I haven't heard of this meme...I'll check it out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a tremendous possitive attitude you have. I enjoyed your post very much. I guess we are spoiled in Florida with all of the birds. I'm looking forward to seeing your post next week. Ginger has chosen wisely to get the most out of us. Thanks again! Gordon (Friday Shoot-outs From Florida)
ReplyDelete@Wrench - Thanks! Anyone can hang out in the Park. Even the naughty kids who seem to ruin the greenery around LOL.
ReplyDelete@Linda - It is wet, gray and dreary outside in here too so we're even, I guess!
@Missy - Ayun! I was about to say Carabao but people wouldn't understand that. I forgot the term Water Buffalo, so thanks LOL. I don't even know if that is an orchid. It just screamed Wildlife to me because it is sprouting from a tree bark. I had to take a picture of it LOL. I already checked out your Wild Birds shootout!
@Kris - Thanks and no problem. I love your sarcastic posts LOL.
@GingerV - Can't stay for a long while on the streets, we live in a pretty dangerous neighborhood, haha! Thanks for clarifying the next town shootout! Sorry if I didn't quite understand it at first.
@Mark - Great, glad you liked it, thanks for dropping by.
ReplyDelete@Sarah-paige - Thanks, I love all the greenery too! Too much of Greenery perhaps, in that little Round Park!
@Shadowmoon - Haha, seems like you're pretty ashamed with some of your parks around. Maybe the local government in your place lacks funding? Flying rats? LOL. Maybe those are bats? Those ants are hard to beat. There are like millions of them!
@John - Yeah me too, I could relax there for hours if the surroundings is not so polluted LOL. You have a very interesting wildlife in there! I really hope you capture a photo of a Coyote, that would be interesting! And you know the names of the birds lol. I just call them "Birds." haha!
@J9 - That's a water buffalo. Maybe it looks like an oxen LOL.
ReplyDelete@Shoshana - Yes, you should. Hope to see you next week if you could.
@Papa and Mema - Saw your post and yes, you guys have a lot of birds LOL. Those birds love the sun and the beach in Florida. I'm excited for next week's shootout too! I'll be showing off my town and nearby towns.
hi! thanks for dropping by my blog! it's good that you can still find something green in the city as it's quite a rare sight. i also suggest you go to La Mesa Ecopark (kahit di pa ako nakakarating dun! :D) mukang mas madaming greens.
ReplyDeletere the moon shot, i had to use the max zoom capacity of the lens. it would depend on the zoom capacity of your camera. siguro it would help if you're in a higher place too. :D
now i know why you like dslr camera so much :)
ReplyDeleteyou did a good job tho.
when are you going to take my photo? haha!
@Syel - La Mesa Ecopark, isn't that in Quezon Province or Quezon City? I don't even have an idea where it is LOL. Thanks for the tips. Don't have a DSLR to take that sort of super near moon shot!
ReplyDelete@Faisal - Yeah, I do like it but I don't have money to buy it! I have a new Digital Camera, though! If I happen to pass by Malaysia, I'll take a photo of you and frame it or something LOL.
when you live in a concrete jungle like new york you miss stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteawesome post!
i miss the flora and fauna in my home country (trinidad) too!
And I checked out the squishycash thing for you. Turns out you CAN get paid by check! The bad news is tho that I still didn't see any offers listed for Philippines :(
But you can still sign up and maybe wait til they add offers :/ or try referring :( I know it sucks! lol sorryy hun..
Yeah, that's one of the disadvantages living in the city. I have to travel miles just to see hectares of greenery! So you were born in Trinidad (that's in Cuba, right?) and flew to NY to live there? LOL. Just tell me if they have any offers for the Philippines and I'll make sure to register immediately!
ReplyDeleteThe disadvantages of living far from the West!
I too live in a city and miss seeing he wild life animals. Zoos are a great comfort.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being at mine.
Yeah, but those animals at the Zoo are probably affected by the pollution too! Thanks on hopping over to mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing I loved your photos and seeing where you live.
ReplyDeletehaha when will that be?
ReplyDeletejust get back from badminton.
its raining here... there?
Ganda ng mga shots ha. I love the gardening photo most.
ReplyDelete@Lilly - Thanks, glad you liked the photos and where I live! Come again soon!
ReplyDelete@Faisal - I don't know, when my plans of traveling the world becomes real and not just plans. That will be a decade from now, maybe! It rained a couple of hours ago and a little throughout the day. I love that kind of weather instead of the humid one!
@Redlan - Thanks, those are one of my favorite photos too. Sa harap ng Metrobank sa Makati Ave. LOL.
Hi Hapkureyzi, Maybe you can try Parks and Wildlife or La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City. So many flora and fauna there.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, those are some nice photos you have already. Maybe not jungle but you were able to shoot the necessary subjects. I love the statue of carabao.Parang buhay..LOL
Ooh, so it's in Quezon City, huh? Thanks for confirming that, I was debating whether it was on Quezon Province or City LOL. Also, I found out that it's not Carabao, the English Dictionary doesn't seem to accept that. Someone told me that it's Water Buffalo! It's plastic and pathetic to look at in 'person' LOL.
ReplyDeleteOoops thanks for the plug! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat, you deserve it - your photos could change the world. Have fun with your Holy Week getaway. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great park. Very green and pretty, and I like the rocks, and sculptures and whatever else. Nice post.
ReplyDeleteAm just happy to read your entries, keeps me updated to whats happening to the other side of my world.
ReplyDeletebtw, i see one of your pictures... the green leaf... how you make the background blur using your compact camera? i thought only dslr can do so? i'm thinking of buying a camera too... but i always get trapped in necessary and necessity game!
ReplyDeletenext post?
ReplyDelete@Louise - Thanks, glad you liked everything LOL. The pollution is probably the most offending element in that park.
ReplyDelete@Ebie - Thank you! Happy to read your entries and see your photos too!
@Faisal - Okay, get your digital camera or someone else's camera if you don't have one yet LOL. Then find the flower icon. Focus one object with the camera set to the Flower or Macro icon - you're done LOL. You asking for a new blog? >:)
i'm asking for a new post. anything interesting lately?
ReplyDeleteYou got the digital camera trick going? LOL. No, nothing interesting. I'll post a new blog tomorrow with whatever my fingers come up LOL. I'll write the post later and post it tomorrow! >:)
ReplyDeletehaha... i got a new post but i guess i will post it after the MM.
ReplyDelete2 post to be exact :P
I'm not an expert on taking pictures but I think you can focus on one thing and blur the rest with either digital or...analogical (?) camera can't you?
ReplyDeleteChange the focus of the camera and all that stuff that I don't understand :P
And by flying rats I meant dove..though I found pigeon as another translation. Anyway, these that flies on the city and have no natural predator.
Oh, there are some nice parks in my city but not many, most are plain simple or just dirty.
Cool! Ang galing naman! Nami miss ko tuloy and Pinas. Salamat for posting!
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks for featuring my blog in the beginning. That's a great idea. Might do it too! THANKS!
Enjoy your weekend!
still no new post :P
ReplyDelete@Faisal - Either way, you're gonna get so much comments from your fans anyway! I'm thinking of topics to blog about. I'm listening to some songs for inspiration, haha!
ReplyDelete@Shadowmoon - I don't know about the analog one. As for the Digital, I do it all the time, haha! Now that I have a new digital camera, I do funny things with it and snap photos everywhere lol. Hahaha, that's funny, pigeons and doves don't look like flying rats! >:)
@Shey - LOL nasan ka ba? Kala ko andito ka eh! Sige simula ngayon iinggitin na kita, mag popost ako ng maraming photos pa, haha! Yeah, you should do the featuring thing too. There are so many awesome bloggers around! :)
It was nice seeing a glimpse of your park through your lens and eyes. There is so much to see and to learn from in the world. Have a wonderful Sunday.
ReplyDeletewe used to have love birds as pets
ReplyDeletepero naman
ang dalas nila mag-mate
kaya madalas kami magpalit to a bigger bird cage to accommodate their growing family
hehe
@Natural Moments - Glad you liked it, you'll be seeing more of what my country looks like! Those are one of the things that keeps me going - so much to see and to learn from in the world. :)
ReplyDelete@Raft3r - Haha, di ko pa sila nakikitang mag-mate. Mukang ginagawa na pag madaling araw LOL.
hi Ayra yep that's in Quezon City. which has been answered by Dennis na pala :D. kahit wala kang dslr you can take moon shots. the latest that i had is the first one with a dslr. kindly check the rest of those with moon labels, lahat un sa point and shoot lang. :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, now you know my real name! You must have read my reply to Reena! Now 3 people know my real name in here. I'll try shooting the moon with my Digital Camera LOL. Wonder if it will work.
ReplyDeleteTaking pictures of the moon may be hard.
ReplyDeleteSince it's emanating light it may be hard to get a good shot but digital cameras from nowadays are so sophisticated that they probably adjust by themselves.
I do remember that to take a picture of the moon with an analogic camera is pretty complicated.
Well, if you take one photo of the moon please share with us ok? And try to capture some shadow too...maybe a moon shadow? Nah, a shadow moon :D
Nice photos! I usually have some birds on my balcony in the mornings, their constant chirping wakes up Garandee all the time. This is probably something we'll miss after we move to our new place late this year... sigh...
ReplyDeleteI think wildlife is very exciting that is why this blog catch my attention completely. I must to say this whole blog is awesome and very nice. i really love to know about animal, and how they live. There are many things in this life that we can approach for enjoy everything but just depende of us.
